About Vincent J. Fahnlander
Vincent J. Fahnlander was born in Spencer, Iowa and attended grade
school through high school in Royal, Iowa.
Mr. Fahnlander earned his B.S. from St. John’s University in 1985
with a major in economics and minor in government. While at St. John’s,
Mr. Fahnlander started on the football team under legendary Coach John
Gagliardi. Mr. Fahnlander earned his J.D. from the University of Iowa
in 1988.
Mr. Fahnlander joined Mohrman & Kaardal in 2002, with fourteen years
of legal experience already behind him. His practice focuses primarily
on construction law, including litigation, arbitration, mediation, and
the review and preparation of construction contracts. He also has experience
in commercial litigation involving employment law, intellectual property,
real estate, bankruptcy and other business law issues. Mr. Fahnlander
has had numerous trials, arbitrations and mediations of construction
and commercial law cases. His practice has included handling many cases
on appeal to the Minnesota Court of Appeals, the Minnesota Supreme Court,
as well as federal appellate cases.
Mr. Fahnlander has spoken on a variety of construction law topics for
several different continuing legal education providers as well as for
several construction industry trade associations. He has been a regular
presenter for Lorman Education Services, including its annual seminar
entitled: Construction Lien Law in Minnesota. He was a contributing
author for the “Claims for Payment” chapter in Construction
Subcontracting: A Legal Guide for Industry Professionals, published
by Wiley Law Publications, 1991. Mr. Fahnlander was selected as a “Rising
Star” in an annual survey of Minnesota attorneys conducted by
Minnesota Law & Politics.
Mr. Fahnlander enjoys handball, golf, and traveling with his family
in his spare time. He and his wife have five children.
