Today, our clients, including Tom Styczinski and Treasure Island Coins, had a big victory against Minnesota Department of Commerce on Dormant Commerce Clause claims in U.S. District Court (Minnesota). The court decision effectively guts Minnesota’s unnecessary regulation of precious metal coin and bullion purchases and sales. Plaintiffs’ Attorney Erick Kaardal commented, “The federal court decision protects the rights of Minnesotans to transact in precious metals investments without Minnesota’s overzealous regulation.” More information will follow.
