Since 2020, attorney Erick Kaardal has been representing three Protestant churches in an effort to abolish Minnesota’s church attendance limitations. The plaintiff churches complained that Governor Walz’s COVID orders have for over a year been restricting church attendance. The most recent version of a church attendance limitation was 50% occupancy. Effective on March 15, Governor Walz rescinded all church attendance limitations–a great victory for all of Minnesota’s houses of worship.
