Attorney Erick Kaardal spoke on May 1 as the keynote speaker at the Culpepper County GOP Ronald Reagan Day Dinner. The event was held in rural Virginia at a lovely farm set up for such events. The weather was lovely. Farm animals could be heard in the background. Over 200 people attended. A large event tent provided shade during the dinner. Kaardal spoke on election integrity. Kaardal stated, “We can get along with corporations influencing our agencies, but it is a whole new level when private corporations are engaged in election administration. This type of corporate influence threatens our representative democracy. We now must turn to the courts–which should always be the last place to go. As the prophet Amos instructed the Jewish people, if the culture is bad and the courts are corrupt, you are justified in just staying quiet and praying. There is nothing more to do. But, in the United States today, we still have hope. That’s why we are working through the courts by suing election officials to restore election integrity for the 2022 elections and beyond.”
Notably, as Kaardal was reading from chapter 5 of the Book of Amos in the Bible, a cow mooed very loudly. Kaardal attributed the “moo” to the cow being a Bible believer too. Everyone laughed.
