Wisconsin journalist Matt Kittle writes about a growing movement in Wisconsin for major election law reform. Wisconsinites are concerned that the Wisconsin Election Commission in the 2020 election was too closely associated with the Center for Tech and Civic Life giving $8,800,000 to the Wisconsin 5 cities (Milwaukee, Madison, Racine, Green Bay and Kenosha) for targeted get-out-the-vote efforts. A majority of the money was identified to get-out-the-vote in the Wisconsin 5 cities and targeted neighborhoods within–but not statewide as required by federal and state law. In other words, federal and Wisconsin state law assigns get-out-the-vote efforts to campaigns, not municipalities. The article can be found here: https://wisconsinspotlight.com/ending-wec/
